The First Encounter
The switch gives me a chance to run away from thinking.
I do not want to share that room with Dark.
The nostril line gives me a chance to get off the horse.
Nobody can make me move myself.
I start training.
I walk through sensations.
In empty space:
Thinking is intermittent.
Breath and body are continuous.
I share the thinking with Dark.
I share the breath with the horse.
I share the body with sensations.
Dark forces me toward safety by being not safe.
The horse forces me into stillness by moving me.
Sensations force me into movement by holding me.
I exercise different aspects of my freedom in different worlds.
During one of my walks, the land disappears.
Body and breath are gone.
I have no access to them.
Where am I?
Hey Dark, what are you doing here?
The switch put us in the same room.
Now we truly share a room.
I learn to share the room with breathing:
I do not have to move with his horse.
I learn to share the room with sensations:
I do not have to stay with them.
Now I am faced with the wild beast.
The light is fully on.
I have no place to run.
My arms are bigger now.
I am bigger now.
He cannot drag me that easily anymore.
I decide when to move.
I decide when to stop.
I decide where to be.
Nobody other than me can make me move or stop myself.
The switch turns off the light.
He comes to the body.
He rides the breath.
He sees the chains of the beast.
He opens his eyes.
For the first time.
