Pain is Humaned
Where am I?
What am I looking at?
Human is not clothed.
Pain is humaned.
I don’t see your face.
I see you, for the first time.
I am in an ocean, of fish.
They are not in water.
They are on land.
I am not angry at you.
I do not feel pity for you.
I am not sad for you.
I am just there.
Next you.
With you.
I am you.
You are not breathing in and out,
you are breathing out and in.
Fish wants to swim in you, and you are looking for water. You are not fish— why are you looking for water? Fish wants to swim in you. Why are you hurting yourself by looking for that that is not any use to you?
I am sorry. But I will not stay in your way if that is how you want to swim. I will hold you, but I will never stop you.
You are always welcome to bring your fish into my ocean. It cannot swim there, I know. But at least you can rest.
